Wow saw this idea and thought "Hey, I can do that" I think you can too. It doesn't seem too hard.

Saint Patrick's Day....Seattle

Photo from Seattle Times newspaper.

Seattle's Saint Patrick's Day Parade
Storm, an Irish water spaniel, is appropriately decked out for Saturday's St. Paddy's Day parade in downtown Seattle.

We had a fun St. Patick's Day and then homecooked dinner of corned beef/cabbage and Irish Soda Bread. Everyone at the table read an Irish Blessing.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Maicey and Payton Visit

It was an explosion of pink at our house this weekend. Maicey and Payton came to spend two days. We will paint and craft and scoure the neighborhood for interesting adventures. We found moss and sticks today for Maicey's spring nest. Payton is in her three month outfits now and sleeping well. Growing fast.

Snow Geese and Trumpeter Swan

We went for a drive Sunday up through Mt Vernon and LaConner, the Skagit Valley. There were fields and fields of Snow Geese and Trumpeter Swans all over. They were resting in the fields as they make their miagration. Very Very noisy as they honk and fly about. Seemed odd to see swans walking around as they are usually only floating in a lake.

National Bison Range

Acrylic Painting of the National Bison Range....
Flathead Indian Reservation....Paradise, Montana.

I took a photo while we were on our trip to Glacier National Park and there were no buffalo roaming. It was beautiful to look out on the prairie and imagine millions of buffalo running across the plain. The clouds that day were boiling up over the mountain range and it all ended up working well to make a great painting.

Acrylic by Mike....24x12...painted 2011....class at Art's Umbrella...instructor Ted Pankowski
